phosphor bronze

Phosphor bronze is a ternary alloy made by deoxidizing bronze, an alloy of copper and tin, with phosphorus. In addition to the property of being non-magnetic, it has various excellent properties.

It is often used as a spring material for precision parts such as automobiles, information communication equipment, and electronic parts.

Characteristics of phosphor bronze

　④ Resistant to chemical corrosion.

　⑤ It is good for heat conduction and electric conduction.

Precautions when using phosphor bronze

　① Do not touch with bare hands as it will discolor if touched with bare hands.

　② If the product is washed with an organic solvent, etc., it will turn bluish-purple if it is packed before it is dried sufficiently.

beryllium copper

Beryllium copper is an alloy in which beryllium is added to copper. It has strength characteristics comparable to steel. It also has excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature characteristics.

It is used when the strength of phosphor bronze is insufficient.

At our company, we use beryllium copper to process the electrodes of the welding machines that we use in-house.

Precautions when using beryllium copper

Continued inhalation of dust above a certain level may impair lung function, so adequate ventilation is required when remelting, welding, or polishing.
